James is the kind of man who works hard, doesn't speak well, is affectionate, and has a tough heart.
The only time James gets angry in the film isn't at the boxing ring where he's fighting, but when he hears that the kids are being sent away (because they can't afford their medical bills).
"Outside the butcher's shop, I looked him (James' eldest son) in the eyes, and I assured him from the bottom of my heart that I would never send them away, how could you do that!" The
only time James shed tears Not when his hand was broken or when he was beaten all over, but when he went to the Boxer Association for help in order to bring his child back.
"I can't pay the gas bill, I have to have someone help me with the kids, the docks have been shrinking workers, they won't come to me for work (because of a broken hand), I sell everything everyone has to, I go They gave me $19 and $18.38 short of it so I could pay to get the baby back, you all know me well, and if I had somewhere to turn, I wouldn't be here..."
Joe Iraq's wife told rose (James wife): "If they feel like a failure in front of us, like this, like the world stops turning."
James made money to go after relief at the repayment, then for the wife to buy a bundle Rose, then go and help a friend.
When asked about his past experiences at a press conference after his career turned around, James downplayed the suffering.
Before the final battle of life and death, Mei sent her children to relatives' homes and told her not to turn on the radio (for fear of bad news for the children). She went to church to pray for her husband.
"I'm here to pray for James."
"So do they," the pastor said, turning around, a church full of people.
This is not a passionate film full of blood, but a tender film full of love and responsibility. When James was in the boxing world, what we saw in his eyes was the desire for life, the love for his wife, and the love for his wife. Commitment to children, and gratitude to friends.
Tekken man has a pure heart!
