Director James Wan is a 27-year-old Malaysian. This is his debut in Hollywood and it turned out to be a huge success. The whole movie has obvious traces of small costs, no big casts, and no big scenes. It is completely reliant on the bizarre and complicated plot to grab the audience's eyes. The story was co-written by James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell. Leigh Whannell later stated that he found himself close to pervert in the later stages of writing.
In fact, the structure of this story is very similar to the "Escape Room" series of Flash games that everyone has been enthusiastic about on the Internet for a while, so this style is actually created by the Japanese. It may be because the director is Asian. The essence is fully grasped. There are still many places on the Internet to download such games, and those who are interested can download and do it, which is quite interesting.
The Chinese subtitles are full of errors. If you look at the Chinese subtitles, you probably can't understand the plot at all. You can't help but look at the English subtitles with great difficulty (check it out from time to time while using the small dictionary on your phone, haha). The whole story can be said to be very exciting, only two places are super stupid, making mistakes that American movies generally make: 1. All people did not shoot in time when they had guns in their hands, which put their vitality in danger again. 2. At the end, the doctor can't reach the cell phone. He has an iron box in his hand. He didn't expect to push the iron box to the opposite person and ask him to help touch the phone back with the iron box. You must know if you receive that call , The result may be completely rewritten.
Having said that, it is nervous, exciting, suspenseful, and bloody. If you only want to watch one horror movie this year, I recommend this one.
