Therefore, literary and artistic youths eventually become second-class youths in the depths. For a person born in the late 1980s, it is really unrealistic to understand the various tunes and singers listed in the book. Many people just hear it like thunder, but if I really put on headphones, I may surrender in five minutes. But for me, these are not problems, I just read and even recite these lines over and over again, revering the things behind these words from the bottom of my heart.
Six or seven years have passed, whether this book is still alive or not, I can't answer. Even if I were to recall the passages that I had recited and even bothered to quote back then, it would be a huge challenge. So, before watching the film, I hesitated for a long time: should I read the novel again first?
But I gave up in the end, because my mind has matured, my taste has changed, or, in other words, because of laziness.
As the progress bar moved little by little, clues emerged little by little, and finally formed my memory. I really did not expect that the movie can be as slow as the novel. Although there is no magnificent plot, it can always attract you to read. What's even more unexpected is that there are so many familiar faces and voices in the film, whether it's a cameo or an easter egg, even the radiohead posters on the wall can surprise and delight me. So, it's not that the film is so well shot, but that the novel in our memory is reproduced with the most luxurious lineup possible. Just like the protagonist's own DJ job, it is not a creation, but a show, where everyone can find their own melody.
