2. After watching the above two films, I have a preliminary impression of Almodovar films. Indeed, as the reviews say, both films embody an eerie, bizarre quality. However, the features of gorgeous colors, "Trembling Desire" is true, and the clean picture of "The Skin of My Residence" is more like Almodovar's intention.
3. As far as the above two movies are concerned, I really like the story very much, extreme, grotesque, and even fantasy. However, the intensity of the narration doesn't seem quite to my taste. Generally speaking, I think a major feature of European films is that compared to Hollywood productions, they are sharper and crisper, with fewer things deliberately catering to the audience, and their endings are generally bolder. However, the above-mentioned two films seem to have a strong sense of burnout. In fact, the story itself is very crazy, and it is easy to develop in a ruthless direction. Maybe this is the difference between film masters and ordinary commercial film directors, and there will be more things to take into account.
4. In any case, the above two films did greatly increase my interest in Almodovar. Next, I will continue to watch his movies. Because the crazy stories he tells really have an appetite for me. I'm going to watch "Broken Embrace" in a few days, and I bought another CD that I haven't watched for a long time.
