It's not as bad as everyone says...

I watched it for a French suspense movie. The mix is obvious, and the pacing of the film isn't perfect. The scene in prison reminded me of T-Bag, and Michael in the prison break. The scene of listening to the concert is very similar to the scene of the brothers in church. But I think the real part of the movie comes after Marcel gets out of prison.
There are three lines in the film, one is the female police officer chasing the male protagonist, and I admit that there is a lot of blood in between.... one is the male protagonist chasing Marcel, and the other is Julie's father, the old man who last shot.
What the film wants to preach is love and trust. However, marcel is brilliant, which is a problem that many such films in the United States have to deal with. Obviously, the procrastination at the end and the blunt opening of the little girl, it is better to end it when the male protagonist falls off a cliff. Marcel is a little smart, and he doesn't feel at all being followed all the way. Obviously the screenwriter didn't take this into account. It stands to reason that this kind of sex offender who was sexually frustrated when he was young and may have developed from arsonists, there is no reason for pedophiles to be so mentally retarded.
However, this is indeed a relatively successful commercial film for French films. But why do I hope that French directors don't always try to imitate Hollywood....Hollywoo!
