The change up

Dave is a typical rat-racer, graduated from Princeton and Yale law school, works in a prestigious law firm, owns huge house and has gorgeous wife and kids. However, he always puts work before family. Mitch, a playboy from a rich family , never takes things seriously, either for family or job. He is quite distant from his dad.

They two (Dave and Mitch) are the best friends.

I think I'm both Dave and Mitch. I rarely appreciate the value of my family, like saying something nice to my parents and sister to thank them for being so supportive. Like Tal said, if you take it for granted, the value will depreciate. And I always want to be a rat-racer dreaming to be admitted into top university, to work in a prestigious company, to have a huge house and lovely wife and kids. And I knew if I achieved them, I just want more and never appreciate the effort and enjoy the journey.

At the same time, I do aspire to be like Mitch, who can pick up girls so easily and change girlfriends three times a week. Sometimes I just want to indulge myself in some ways, ignoring the school-work, watching movies all day long, or just sitting up doing nothing.

I do need to change up between Mitch and Dave to get better understanding of myself, to appreciate more of my family, to indulge myself sometimes, to enjoy my special life.
