Fantastic Daddy Fox: What Makes a Good Man

Jonatan 2022-03-21 09:01:31

Daddy fox used to be serious and liked to steal chickens and dogs because he was a wild animal. Now the fox dad is a columnist, has a lovely son, bought a big house in the tree hole, and watches over the chicken coop, ham and cider. He was out again, he almost destroyed everything, and then he saved everything.

I can't help but wonder, what makes a really good father, a good man? Crime and get away with it? Forbearance waiting for happiness to come?

I used to think that a good man, good husband and good father are just three words: be able to make money, take care of the family, and be safe. Earning money brings the minimum dignity to the family; caring for the family means that the family is everything first; if there is no accident, that is, don't spend money on the world, mess with flowers and cause trouble.

But Father Fox brought me a question, are these three sentences enough to achieve the essence?

Mr fox's actions certainly do not fully satisfy these three sentences. But that doesn't prevent him from being a qualified man. He has a dazzling character, and with this, Father Fox dares to decide to buy the tree-hole house, dare to break into the territory of the three farmers, and even, after losing everything, dare to pick up the white flag and go to the three farms alone host.

Responsible. Daddy Fox absolutely has the responsibility that a man should have, facing problems and solving them. Finally, protect the wife and children, and protect the animal friends.

This is the most essential character a man should have. No matter what you face, no matter what you encounter, move forward, move forward, move forward again, open up roads in the mountains, build bridges in the water, and bravely hold up the sky for your family and friends.

Fantastic Mr. Fox quotes

  • Mrs. Fox: I'm going to lose my temper now.

    Mr. Fox: When?

    Mrs. Fox: Right now.

    Mr. Fox: Well, when...

    [Mrs Fox slashes his face]

    Mr. Fox: OW!

Mrs. Fox: Twelve fox years ago, you made a promise to me, while we were caged inside that fox trap, that if we survived, you would never steal another chicken, turkey, goose, duck, or a squab - whatever they are, and I believed you. Why? Why did you lie to me?

Mr. Fox: Because I'm a wild animal.

Mrs. Fox: You are also a husband and a father.

Mr. Fox: I'm trying to tell you the truth about myself.

Mrs. Fox: I don't care about the truth about yourself. This story is too predictable.

Mr. Fox: Predictable? Really? What happens in the end?

Mrs. Fox: In the end, we all die. Unless you change.

  • Mr. Fox: In a way, I'm almost glad that flood interrupted us because I don't like the toast I was giving. I'm gonna start over.

Mr. Fox: When I look down this table, with the exquisite feast set before us, I see: two terrific lawyers, a skilled pediatrician, a wonderful chef, a savvy real estate agent, an excellent tailor, a crack accountant, a gifted musician, pretty good minnow fisherman, and possibly the best landscape painter working on the scene today. Maybe a few of you might even read my column from time to time, Who knows? I tend to doubt it.

    [pause]

Mr. Fox: I also see a room full of wild animals. Wild animals, with true natures and pure talents. Wild animals with scientific-sounding Latin names that mean something about our DNA. Wild animals each with his own strengths and weaknesses due to his or her species.

Mr. Fox: Anyway, I think it may very well be all the beautiful differences among us that might just give us the tiniest glimmer of a chance of saving my nephew, and letting me make it up to you for getting us into this, this crazy... whatever it is. I don't know. It's just a thought. Thank you for listening. Cheers, everyone.

[mimics draining an imaginary glass and smashing it to the floor]

    Kylie: Let's eat!

    [everyone stares at Kylie]

Kylie: What? I was just playin' along with the bit he was doing...
