But the movie is really good. The plain-looking robot "Adam" was endowed with a lot of emotions by the director in the movie. But in fact, this Adam didn't say a word from beginning to end, from beginning to end, and he didn't even show any spontaneous actions or expressions from "it" himself. What the audience sees, all the actions of "it" come from the imitation function of "it". Some of the so-called emotions that the audience feels come from the seemingly unintentional hints buried in the plot by the film producers. This kind of suggestion comes from our initial emotions as human beings, and we are awakened little by little during the process of watching the film, and respond. This is in line with what I have always believed that no matter how the time progresses, no matter how strong the rebellion and innovation of generations of young people are, some fundamental things are immutable from ancient times to the present-that is our shared nature as living creatures.
While watching the movie, I was thinking: If it were a Chinese director, I would not have handled it implicitly. This is probably inseparable from the status quo of the society we live in. This is not in line with their usual mentality in the first place. However, I really want to guess: what would it be like if a Chinese made a movie on this subject. I guess: that heroine will always be cute, so that the director and all the audience will always fantasize about what she looks like in her bed (Isn’t there? Okay, even if it’s just me.). The male protagonist will often act hard-hearted and incomprehensible, but in many cases he will act very witty and brave. And if necessary, he would be very good at speaking in front of the opposite sex, and would say some explicit lines that would make me bashful to death. And that robot will look more like a pet, because most Chinese people are actually not good at respecting people who look inferior to them. What's more, it's a machine, let alone in the eyes of a famous director. But in order to be able to immediately surpass Britain and catch up with the United States on the surface, our director will give "it" more "humanity". It will make it look silly and very funny. But this is not enough. It is far from satisfying the pursuit of "humanity" as a director. In order to make it more human, they will also give it a mouth that can laugh, at least painted on it. Of course, this is obviously not enough. It will also be designed in the film to solve the relationship between father and son and the relationship between the hero and the hero at an appropriate time, until they are sent to bed (please, don't think about it, the latter thing is less needed in the film The protagonist comes by himself, although his original sexual orientation is not the opposite sex.). Even at the end of the film, there will be an injustice for the male protagonist. Believe me, as long as the director is willing, he can let its "humanity" overflow from the robot's eyes and flow all over the floor.
Finally, the director of this Chinese science fiction film, which is still under planning, found that the cost of computer production is too high, and it is more economical for people to wear clothing made of foam. However, in order to show that the film is a big production, maybe you will pay a big price to choose Yao Ming to wear that costume, which will definitely be more box office appealing... If the investor dared to invest money, the director would be excited like a gold-worship girl with a daddy, and immediately purchase a large number of 3D technologies. For example, Cameron invented for "Avatar", the technology to capture facial expressions, will also be used on this robot. As a result, the audience will finally see a person through and through. Can you say that the robot they portrayed has no humanity? ! If you are still dissatisfied, it can only mean that you are not suitable for China's national conditions, because this movie has a broad mass base-Chinese farmers! Fortunately, they are not of high quality. This is the result of more than 60 years of education. Otherwise, how can our famous directors make their way of life more like a famous director? !
Let's go back and talk about "Steel Fist". There are quite a lot of issues in the film about the relationship between family and father and son. Although it is not an in-depth analysis of family issues, as a commercial film, it has made this film a relaxed and full-bodied commercial film. The human weakness in the movie-a father who evades responsibility, is playful, pursues excitement, likes speculation, and even is lustful. Although the society of China is far more than that simple, at least it has a more real, non-single, facial, and black-and-white description of human nature. Moreover, this is a "commercial" film, and they must also respect their ultimate goal-the box office. The combination of the above two points in the film is reasonable. What I admire the most about the film is that Adam’s self-awareness of self-recognition appears several times. The method is concise and clear, and it is almost a flash in the film. If these scenes are cut out, it seems that it will not have any effect on the plot at all. But if you refer to it, you will know that without those shots, it is like a pot of carefully cooked dishes without salt. As the saying of our Shandong people is: there is no salty taste!
In addition, there is one detail in the film that I haven't had time to confirm. I remember when Adam first appeared in the film, there was only a patch on one side of his face and forehead. But towards the end of the film, there were repair marks on the mouth and nose of the face. Although it is a simple, horizontal and vertical line, it is enough to make people feel that it is-Adam, more like a "person"! This is the psychological hint to the audience's understanding through subtle visual changes. Based on the previous understanding of American films, this is in line with Hollywood's creative techniques-using some imperceptible film language and methods, as the plot of the film progresses, unknowingly infect and guide the emotions of the audience. The audience may not know what is affecting them, but they must feel it, but they don't know where their feelings come from. This is what many American movies have always admired for me. They have perfected the language of movies. Let you be persuaded and infected without knowing it. I believe that if I watch it a few more times, I will find something new in their lens each time.
I especially admire the director's handling of the end of the film: the director did not let the expected Adam win a complete victory, but because the referee gave in to the pressure of the powerful and awarded the championship to his opponent Zeus. After this sci-fi movie showed the dreams heartily, the audience's emotions were gently pushed on the chest by reality, which unexpectedly left a little room and space for imagination.
When I was still studying at the film school more than ten years ago, a teacher once said: Chinese films are made of real fakes, while American films are made of fake real ones. The problem is still there today, and there is hardly much progress. Where did the problem go? But on the other hand, no matter what, our pomp has already surpassed Britain and the United States! Besides, with that huge audience of more than one billion, what product can't be sold?
