I want to evolve into a gorilla

After watching the recent "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", I found this first film in 1968. Except for the stunts on the spacecraft at the beginning, the story is very complete and unique. The newly filmed "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" echoes this film very well.

Feeling: In that era when our country was still engaged in class struggle, people have seen a future in which human civilization may destroy itself. In order not to spoil anything, I won't say much (although such an old film doesn't need any more spoilers).

This film solidified my cognition: the establishment of all religious taboos has its positive reasons at the earliest, but the later ones are slowly ignorant of the original reasons.

Found a bug in the film. After the protagonist got off the ship, he always thought that it was wrong for them to fly away from the solar system and about 300 light-years from the earth. They fly at close to the speed of light, and it is impossible for them to travel to a place where light travels for 300 years in 18 months. As an astronaut, the protagonist should not understand this basic knowledge.

This is not really a science fiction film. If it must be counted, it can only be classified as a very melon science fiction film. Those orangutans are very fun.

The lines are good, the meaning is good, it is full of irony, and the emotions are ups and downs. At the end, there is such a button, how surprised the people who watched it back then.

Planet of the Apes quotes

  • George Taylor: A planet where apes evolved from men? There's got to be an answer.

Dr. Zaius: Don't look for it, Taylor. You may not like what you find.

  • [brandishing a rifle]

George Taylor: Don't try to follow me. I'm pretty handy with this.

Dr. Zaius: Of that I'm sure. All my life I've awaited your coming and dreaded it.
