When the crew of an American nuclear submarine found an unknown object on the radar screen, the submarine was suddenly hit and sank into a bottomless abyss. Oil drillers headed by Bud were ordered to rescue the submarine crew. The team also included underwater military experts led by Lieutenant Coffey. Lieutenant Coffey's secret mission was to retrieve the 150 nuclear warheads on the boat. Uncle Cameron has made no more than ten films as a director, but almost every one has become a classic. Compared with The Terminator and Titanic, this film is not well known. The storyline is general, nothing more than a deep-sea adventure plus a bit of science fiction. The science fiction part is rich in imagination, and the special effects of the screen are also quite exquisite, but if you look at the film from the perspective of a serious science fiction film, logically it cannot withstand serious scrutiny.

Card God's 4th work (self-edited and self-directed 3rd work). The 171-minute Uncut version, the rhythm is slightly slower in the front, but the two "life and death" of the mad war madman companion and the climax male and female protagonists are typical commercial film routines. The visual effects are worthy of a special book, and the underwater real shooting and special effects (the water face is the same as [Terminator 2]) are included in the history of film.
