I think this is the best commentary on this film.
The big sci-fi scene of "Apocalyptic Future"
,
with the help of the gold medal actor of "Denzel Washington", and the clues hidden in the mysterious retro,
it should be a good film.
As a result, I finished watching the
film twice. The first time I couldn't lift my energy because the color of the film was too dark, and the
second time it was a long time before I waited until the end subtitles appeared.
Where is the problem?
Most of the time in the film is Denzel Washington singing a one-man show.
However, as a lone ranger with expressionless face and few words, the
actor's performance is too rigid and rigid.
Compared to similar characters,
such as Kevin Spacey in "K Star Alien",
or Jean Reynolds in "This Killer Is Not So Cold", they
are all lacking.
Characters like this "three noes" (no mouth, no heart, no expression)
need to be shaped through unique details and iconic movements.
Like the aforementioned "K Star Alien
" puts on sunglasses, he has an unpredictable smile, while the "killer Ang" has the typical characteristics of "persisting in drinking milk every day".
Maybe everyone wants to say that
as a blind hero who is rampant in the last days, there
are so many things to say.
But as a film and television work, the
protagonist lacks attractive elements.
Another terrible shortcoming of this film
is the weakness of the story line.
A tragedy caused by a Bible,
the name of the book is believed to be for an Eastern audience,
Can guess it soon after the beginning of the film.
Too much emphasis on repeated references to religion
makes this work seem shallow and utilitarian.
The power of faith does not change the world by speaking out,
but a process of continuous recitation and elimination of dissidents.
What's more, there are countless versions of the Bible before and after,
all relying on the various interpretations of later generations. Is it too ugly to
fight for something like
this?
Then there is this nonsense ending, which,
apart from
making people laugh, successfully turned the film into a farce.
