Warm science fiction

I had an appointment to watch a good movie on the Movie Channel last night, so I watched the feature film. I didn't read the comments of the previous guests, and I regretted it later. Because the movie is great. Science fiction, light comedy, and a tight plot. The image of the Martian is a bit disgusting, especially the brain case, which is like a glass cover, and the brain flowers inside are clearly visible. Maybe the director wanted to reflect some ugly faces in real characters. The Martians are technologically advanced, and humans are invincible (including nuclear bombs). Later, when the little grandson went to his grandmother in the nursing home despite the dissuasion of his snobbish parents, he found that the old song that the old grandmother loved was actually the nemesis of the Martians. The frequency of those music makes the Martian brain burst (hehe, funny). So far, the director's warm intentions are "obvious": only love, only true feelings, can human beings have hope and a future.

Mars Attacks! quotes

  • Professor Donald Kessler: We know they're extremely advanced technologically, which suggests - very rightfully so - that they're peaceful. An advanced civilization, by definition, is not barbaric.

  • Barbara Land: Do you have to drink in front of me?

Art Land: You're an adult. Cope.
