Tribute to the ghosts of the 70s and 80s! (with minor spoilers)

I finished watching this "Insidious" tonight (I think I can consider translating the Chinese name to "Unpredictable".)
Although this film has an old-fashioned story structure:
living in a big house--something strange--the child is in a coma
--increased- -Decided to move house--Strange things continue--Please exorcist--Experience the dangers
--Encounter the murder again--Fight with the devil--Successful rescue--The devil is haunted

As I too follow horror movies, these plots are completely foreseen. But what makes me continue to watch is that the atmosphere of this movie is well done.

From the very beginning, the whole film creates a sense of depression for the audience with simple and peaceful family life and slightly dim colors. But in less than five minutes, the suspenseful atmosphere began to appear, so that the audience could first appreciate the main theme of the film.

Then, quickly and without any fuss, as the child fell into a coma, the strange things intensified, more and more strange music deepened the foil, coupled with the timely beating of gongs and drums, I really felt like my heart was knocked out! (This kind of sound of gongs and drums first reminded me of the ghost movies I watched in the 1970s and 1980s.)

With the needs of the plot, I finally invited the Ghostbusters (look at the high-tech products they carried), Perform spirit detection. At this time, the ghosts appeared one by one, but they did not appear in disgusting images. In fact, they showed their elegant existence with pale dead faces and a chilling smile. (This is the second point that makes me think this movie is paying homage to the ghosts of the 70s and 80s. That kind of dress is completely Chaplin's dress.) Many people think that the director dressed the ghost as a clown is very idiot, But assuming you are the person involved, you will be frightened when you see an object that shouldn't exist grinning at you, with the intention of getting closer.

Finally, there is no other way, the father must enter the spiritual world himself to save his son. Sure enough, the original ghost release point was the old mansion. In the big house, the director specially arranged a scene for the playback of old events. This is an unhappy family, a lost bride, a sad woman, a dull hostess, an ugly female (male) housekeeper, and a mentally disturbed girl with a gun, all of whom have jointly interpreted a simple family ethics tragedy. (It is said that people who die in vain will continue to experience the scene of death again and again, and continue to suffer until they find a ghost.) Here, I saw the chilling smile of death again... Finally, my father found the entrance and exit of the spiritual world, forcibly He rescued his son, but at the same time, he was led by stupid humans into the physical world, and there was a lively scene of ghosts dancing!

In the end, with the help of some shit luck (because I really don't know why it's so simple, you can escape the pursuit of the devil and return to the body by running), the evil spirit dissipated! MS everyone was saved. Then each handed in their own final part of the scene. But there are still people who are uneasy about keeping their duties. The exorcist old lady suddenly discovered something abnormal, took a photo of her father with a camera, and discovered a shocking secret. As a result, he was convicted of "nosy" and sentenced to strangulation. At this time, the mother also exerted her gossip nature, and she meddled in the discovery of the death of the exorcist old lady, and finally fell into an unknown result... Wait for the return of "Insidious 2"!

Overall, the film's plot and atmosphere are still in place. The percussion of gongs and drums always comes at the right moment, adding a touch of nostalgia. I like! So I decided that if it is released again in China, I will definitely watch it again!

  • Dr. Sercarz: [about Dalton] There is no brain damage that we've detected. Technically, yes, he's in a coma. He doesn't react to stimuli. He has no sleep-wake cycle. But there's no brain trauma or infection. His scans are all normal. To be honest, I've never seen anything like it.
