MGM clearly positioned the Ironclad Veyron as a robot movie that would rival Cameron's Terminator. Many of the main perspective images are similar to the Terminator. Invulnerable steel armor, pistol storage boxes on the legs, and the protector of the weak, in fact, this setting still has considerable potential even if it is in Hollywood today. It's a pity that in the past two years, there has been a super popular Iron Man, and it is not easy for the Robocop to revive the former glory. However, compared to Iron Man, who is in the sky, the positioning of Robocop is more like the dark knight of Gotham City, and it is also a civilian hero who maintains order and law. Maybe there is still hope for this series of Batman's connotation route. Unlike Batman, RoboCop still has some humor, but I don't want them making the movie a comedy.
You can see how thin Peter Weller's body is, right? The whole movie was filmed by him imitating the mechanical movements under the shell of this huge machine, which was completely unexpected when he watched the movie when he was a child.
In addition, the huge two-legged combat armor was shot using stop-motion animation. Without the support of CG technology synthesis, it is really amazing to have this creativity.
