city

This film looks like a police and criminal film, but it is actually about people's living conditions.

THE TOWN, a city full of thieves. Ninety percent of bank robberies in Boston originate from a community. The protagonist and his friends are all children who grew up in that community. They were influenced, inspired, and swallowed by the community.

The hero's father, his best friend, and friend's sister are the most representative characters in the film. I have spent my whole life in this small town where crimes have emerged, living on the fringe. They think that their lives are worthwhile and stick to their pursuits, but from the perspective of others, they are more or less sad.

FBI agents represent the order of society, and iron-fisted and unsympathetic suppression is the reality faced by this community.

The heroine represents another class in the society, with a good background, a wealthy family, and an elite class herself, working as a senior white-collar worker in a bank. People like her are unpopular in THE TOWN, and the local "residents" will smash bottles when they see her. The actor's friend also warned him that she is not a suitable love partner for him.

However, when love comes, people always have to make a choice.

In the end, only the male protagonist escaped from this small town. No one knows what the future holds. If the sunny day is too bright and the sun is too shining, it is not suitable for the world in the dark, then might as well choose the haze, people always have to pursue themselves and find their own living space.

This movie has its deep meaning, and many scenes are very refined, but the narrative is still a bit emotional and superficial, which makes it easy to attract the eye to the thrilling part of the plot, and it is difficult to convey what it really wants. The subject of expression.

So this film is good overall, but it's not exciting enough. Ben Alflake needs to be tempered as a director.
