A little background + thoughts

The film, which was translated as "Blood Strongman", became really popular when the Chinese team rushed into the World Cup that year, but I belong to the kind of film that has to follow the fate. I didn't want to find it back then, but now it just happened I. And it's because of this nearly ten-year delay that I've come to know that the movie is more about race than sportsmanship (as if that would make the movie more profound).

1. Let me first talk about the status of football (American football) in the United States, especially in the southern United States.
The United States can be described as a real national sports. In addition to the professional leagues that we can see in China, there are also college leagues that we often only hear about, but in reality have a wider impact than professional games. Under the college league is what this film said. In the high school league, there are far more spectators at each level of the game than we imagined - our school's stadium is about 40,000 people, which is said to be not big in the south; and the high school league has more than 10,000 stadiums. Nor are there few. This pretty much ensures that every town has its own regular support team.
In the north, where big cities gather, basketball and ice hockey are the more popular sports, while in the south, football is a well-deserved leader; because of the huge number of teams, it is necessary to play away games, so there are not many leagues every year. There are generally no more than 10 home games, which means that every home game is a festival. On game weekends, everyone talks about football. People who don't care about the game at all have a hard time fully integrating into life in the American South.

2. Then there is the issue of racial discrimination that the whole world knows about. In the words of my boss, racism is a scar on the heart of all Americans. Because even today, the problem of racial discrimination has not been completely solved, especially in the South where there are many black people. Although no one dares to openly discriminate, and will not hear the scolding of "niggers" and "gorillas", the fact is that blacks' friends are still blacks, whites are in the company of whites, and whites are looking for yellow people as wives It is more common to find black people than black people. During class, black and white people naturally sit at both ends of the classroom, and the yellow people may sit in the middle.
In the early 1970s, when the story happened, discrimination could still be made public. It is said that black people can only sit in the back row of the bus. The case of white police killing black people is not a sensational news. Team spirit in football is very important. In a match of 2000, a half-black half-white team wants to achieve good results as high as the sky. Thinking that this film is based on real events, I said that history itself is a legend.

3. Anyone who has never seen black people jumping out to accuse the absurdity of racial discrimination can only prove their own naivety. I have said many times to different people in different forms. Today, a century and a half after slavery was abolished, the problem of racial discrimination is still deeply rooted in this so-called free country. To deny that they are who they are today is traced back to the injustices suffered by their ancestors. At a time when all southern universities are admitting blacks with lower marks and deliberately expanding the proportion of blacks in admissions, I have yet to meet a single black graduate student, let alone a professor. I have seen a lot of laziness, dishonesty, selfishness, intemperance and even stupidity of black people. As for the black coach played by Denzel Washington, just like the current US President Barack Obama, success depends on them...more white.

4. So what I want to say is that I have doubts about the many sensational scenes in this film. Friendships between individuals may well be real, but it is not necessary to attribute the success of an entire team to the complete resolution of racial issues within this team, and because one team brings an entire region. , and contrived. I don't think American audiences, fans in a small town in Florida, or even the people who were involved in that year would believe it.
The scar was much deeper than I had ever imagined, and at the joint, it was destined to be difficult to heal.

5. The last thing I want to say is that this movie reminds me of my school team countless times. Same frenzy, same maroon & white jersey, I even heard cowbell. We are also a black and white team, and I dare not say that there is no gap between them as depicted in the movie, but it does not affect the unity as a team itself. Looking back on our dancing and cheering before the home game now, it seems to be paying homage to this film, so although I denied the soul content that the director wanted to express, I still thank this film for letting me know more about where I live now, What happened here, and why reality is reality.
