Looks like the original version of Infernal Affairs

It seems to be filmed earlier than the Hong Kong-made "Infernal Affairs". It always feels like the predecessor of the Hong Kong-made "Infernal Affairs". However, the relationship between the police and the criminals in this film is not as black and white as in "Infernal Affairs". Al Pacino and Johnny Depp are also father and son, brothers, teachers and friends, with a little warmth. At the end of the film, it even sneered at the government's formal recognition and indifference to undercover police officers. Of course, such a plot is unlikely to appear in current Hong Kong-made films.

Why did the FBI send Joe's photo to Sonny in the end? !

I was so nervous when I watched the opening, I guessed Donnie should have survived, or how did this story spread...Undercover is really a bad job, sometimes I can’t tell who I am, and the moral boundaries have been blurred. Yixie, Joe wanted to make a balance but failed. I think he will always live in the shadow of this matter in the future.

Donnie Brasco quotes

  • Sonny Black: [in a bar] You guys think this funny, I'm a skipper now, I got to answer, fifty grand month, kick up to Rusty, every month, one day I'm going to die and I'm going to be here in the same bar with all the same fucking guys, talking about the same fucking scams, never amount to nothing, cause that's how I'll know I'll be sent to fucking hell

  • [repeated line]

    Lefty: Forget about it...
