Looking at the name of the film, I feel that the film will not look good. It's nothing more than a superhero, the story of how to save the world. After reading it, it was really so, a little disappointed.
The plot of the film is very clichéd. It is nothing more than a battle between justice and evil. The story of how the male protagonist, Hellboy resists the temptation of darkness, makes the right choice and saves the world. This kind of plot is not new at all, it's all what superheroes want to do.
The plot is not new, and the characterization of the characters is also very unsuccessful. I haven't read this manga, and I don't know the character of the characters created in the original version. The characters created in the movie version are very lacking in character. This Hellboy does not have the superman, tall, brave, handsome and burly; he does not have the student spirit of Spider-Man, the superb skills to move around between buildings, and he does not have the good and evil sides of Batman. From my point of view, he is just a brutal, infatuated little boy who never grows up. Such a superhero is very unattractive. Besides, he still looks so ugly.
The focus of the film is the love and infatuation of Hellboy. From the perspective of the whole film, the description of feelings seems a bit too much. It is precisely because of this that the only typical character of Hellboy-infatuation is revealed.
The special effects of the film are quite satisfactory. If I haven't watched the special effects blockbuster in recent years, it will definitely be shocked, but I have watched it. It is of medium scale, and there is no grand scene. Only the opening and closing scenes gave me a little shock. The rest, such as battles with those monsters, are very boring. And because of the scene and lighting of the film, 50% of the time is spent in the dark underground, or in the dark castle, which is too dark! Based on the fact that you can't see what to fight with, this is a failure.
The only thing that can impress me in the film is the appearance of the heroine. I have seen her in other films, and this is the first time she has been a heroine. She isn't pretty, but she doesn't have a taste, especially those eyes.
All in all, a movie in which I slept several times while watching it was not particularly good.
