Conquest of the Planet of the Apes: A prairie fire

This is the fourth installment in the Planet of the Apes series.

The sequel took so much. The director still has stories to tell, which I admire.

The story of this episode tells the story of how the last chimpanzees began to fight against humans and conduct armed confrontation. The continuity of the story is good, following the story of the previous episode. However, the film is too bland, and does not bring us some enlightenment and reflection like the first three films.

Funding for the film appears to be very limited. Most of them are indoor scenes. A limited number of outdoor scenes, always a few. It's just those buildings that go round and round. It's pathetic.

The footage in this film is bloodier and crueler. There are many scenes of orangutans beating humans for a long time.

There are several major flaws in the film. Like how did Caesar escape death? Did you discuss it with MacDonald? And how did primitive chimpanzees communicate with Caesar? Chimpanzee IQ was so high in 1991?

A few big holes make the whole movie look a bit sloppy.

In the last episode, it took more than 20 years for an orangutan to become a pet. This movie has an orangutan slave since 1991. Are you too anxious for the director? It is better to put it in 2171.

Seeing the end of the film, it is obvious that this is not the last, and there is a sequel, so continue to shoot.

  • [first lines]

Armando: [to Caesar, whom he has on a leash] Come! Come!

Guard: Do you have authorization to dress him like that?

Armando: [hands over papers] Oh, yes, Sir.

    Guard: A circus ape, huh?

Armando: And the only one to ever have been trained in bareback riding in the entire history of the circus!

  • Caesar: You human bastards!
