There is also a point for the first half of the plot. It was originally a relatively pure personality split at the beginning. When I saw David talking to "Mom", I thought it would be a very good psychology movie, but the second half began to be bloody, The witch doctor and the stealing of souls made the previous wonderful foreshadowings meaningless. I always felt that what could happen in reality would be more terrifying than superstitions of ghosts and gods. My atheism is still very firm.
