How should I put it, in the messy plot, each supporting role is more dazzling than the protagonist.

But I couldn't help thinking that if Hollywood dared to describe China in this way - everyone's life would be sloppy, and guns and corpses would look like shit on the street, and everyone wouldn't change their color. Then Hollywood will not be in the Chinese market, and will have to face endless protests from the Chinese government, and even criminal proceedings. How can the image of the Celestial Dynasty allow you to be so slandered? The image that cost hundreds of millions of dollars was destroyed by these tens of millions of dollars.

In contrast, Mexicans are really too broad-minded.

I always feel that "Let the Bullets Fly" is imitating this.

The intro and epilogue know this is a revenge movie, but the rest of the time is simply overwhelmed. There are gunmen everywhere, lots of characters doing lots of things. I don't know how I felt after watching the first two episodes.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico quotes

  • Agent Sands: [pulls out a gun] Have you ever seen one of these? Have you ever used one? Don't ever because, they're very very bad. But right now I need you to aim it at the bad guy who's following us, and shoot him in the head.

    Chicle Boy: Matalo?

Agent Sands: Oh yeah. Very matalo.

  • Marquez: [in Spanish, sub-titled] Carolina?

    El Mariachi: She died.

    Marquez: Your daughter?

    El Mariachi: She died.

    Marquez: You?

    El Mariachi: Dead.

    Marquez: And me?

    El Mariachi: Alive and well.

[Marquez draws a gun, El Mariachi draws and fires, and Marquez falls wounded. El Mariachi walks up and places his gun to Marquez's head]

    El Mariachi: In hell.

    [Kills him]
