I quite liked the story, instead of focusing on the story after Robin Hood became Rogue; I wrote a prequel instead. In the end, it just ends with the sentence "the legend just begins," although that "Utopia" is a bit scary.
Russell and Cate look a little old anyway. But after all, she is a veteran actor and actress, and Marianne, played by Cate, pouted occasionally and played a cute and playful role, and she didn't feel far-fetched. Cate Blanchett, the spokesperson of SKII, is really well-maintained. However, I always vaguely felt Cate's usual royal aura from certain angles. Russell is really old. He was already a mature man when he was a gladiator ten years ago. Now he is still playing the age group ten years ago. The wrinkles on the corners of his eyes and sagging facial muscles are all hard injuries, but he has a strong body. Muscles and foreign men in their 30s or 40s are actually not much different, so it doesn't matter.
The story is nothing more than classic Hollywood saga. The hero is brave and sincere, in a historical stage of political changes, with a twisted childhood, shouldering the mission of his father, encountering a heroine with a steadfast personality, a hidden villain, a dull and lustful young foreign country... UK style story background, Hollywood style story structure.
The beginning of the story feels a bit slow. But slowly, Russell and Cate's performances are really remarkable. From time to time, there are a few supporting actor gags in the middle, which also makes the few audiences in the early stage smile knowingly. Get excited.
