Persia from "Prince of Persia"

Looking at Persia from "Prince of Persia" is actually a very nonsensical sentence. Because Prince of Persia is just a game.

But Persia, there is really too little information about it. For example, most of us Chinese do not know that Iran is not actually an Arab country. There are also many people who have no concept of Persia, and they seem to have the same breath as Parthia and Babylon. But it has been almost 1500 years since the fall of Sassanid Persia. It is obvious and understandable that the Chinese are not familiar with Persia. I was still thinking about it when I watched "Eternal Dragon Slayer". At that time, there was no Persian Mingjiao, and the Persian Mingjiao was already dying in its own country, and I was afraid that there would be no more than half a breath left. .

At the intersection of Eurasia, the ancient Persians created a splendid civilization and built a large and powerful empire. And all of this will end in just a few decades after the 6th century, where the story of "Prince of Persia" is set. Sassanid, this is the most prosperous Persian Empire after the First Persian Empire in ancient times. Stretching for more than 400 years, it dominated the Eurasian continent. And this glorious hegemony will eventually end in the hands of the Arabs, and it will end forever! Their land became the land of the Arabs; the gods they believed in were destroyed by the Arabs; their children and grandchildren became eternal and faithful servants of the pagan religions; their temple, Tessiphon, was reduced to a gravel of sand in the desert ; Their myths and legends were plagiarized by the enemy as "Arabian Nights" and circulated in the world in the name of cannibalism....

I am extremely sympathetic to the demise of Sassanid Persia. It's not just its relationship with the Tang Dynasty, but the demise of Sassanid Persia is very similar to that of the Ming Dynasty. Both were the same desperate total annihilation, and if a comparison must be made, we did not endure Islam, so we ended up rebuilding our home. Persia, on the other hand, was forever annihilated, and after a thousand years, there was no trace of it. In 637, the last army of the Persian Empire was annihilated by the Arabs at the Battle of Cadysia. This battle, just like the weird Shanhaiguan battle, was also an inexplicable wind blown up by sand and dust, which changed the outcome of the most crucial battle. So far, Sassanid Persia was terminated by the Arabs at a very fast and bizarre speed. The last Prince of Persia, Balus, fled all the way to the Tang Dynasty in the East, and finally died in Chang'an....

The stories of ancient Persia are rarely described in film and television literature, and occasionally appear as absolute villains, such as "Spartan 300 Warriors" and "Blood Battle of Cadysia". Until the game masterpiece "Prince of Persia" by Ubisoft in 2003, until the appearance of the game adaptation of the movie "Prince of Persia Time Blade". Although I know clearly in my heart, this "Prince of Persia" probably has nothing to do with Sassan Persian. But there is still a little bit of expectation. I hope, at least there will be a little Persian style on the screen. Just like in "Things Are Always Separated Like Participating Traders", he wept with Zhang Wuji and parted ways with Xiao Zhao. . .

The male pig horns, everyone already knows. It is the little handsome guy in the back mountain, who always looks like a good boy. This time, he turned into a prince who ran like a leopard, and the design of parkour everywhere was probably to match the game. As for the heroine---Princess Tamina, everyone says she's ugly, and I don't have anything to say, she's really ugly. . . This film has no sense of historical weight, positioning and overall tone, which are equivalent to the adventure films of the Mummy series. The large-scale use of wrap-around aerial cameras in the film makes the atmosphere of the scene very grand. From this point of view, I like watching movies on the big screen.

The background music is also very good, but unfortunately the ugly princess Tamina owes everyone a dance.

Finally, if anyone is interested in "Prince of Persia" but can't play the game, they can take a look at "Arrslan Wars", the background is also Sassanid Persia.
