囧, this is the topic I want!

The reading teacher wants us to have an English debate competition next week. The topic is "Can human cloning be justified by your need for organ transplant".
Looking for information, looking for information, with such high-tech knowledge, our English majors are naturally laymen, so I googled and found an article, which saw this paragraph

"Chances are, "The Island" isn't a glimpse into the future. Nevertheless, it brings up a relevant point about the potential uses for human reproductive cloning"

so curiosity is like flooding of the Yellow River. I went to watch this movie soon, but it’s okay if I didn’t watch it. After watching it, my point of view has turned towards The direction of anti-cloning has gone, 囧.

Ethical issues, opposition to cloning is, in the final analysis, an ethical issue. Unless humans can achieve therapeutic cloning (just cloning organs, without using humans as the mother), there will be no disputes of this kind, at least I think so. However, the current technology is not as high as that level, and I suspect that in 2019 (the era in the movie), human beings will not be able to CLONE a very perfect human body. But here comes the problem, that is, instead of cloning humans as a basis, you jump directly to cloning organs directly, can you? BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT! IMPOSSIBLE! So we still have to start from clones. However, after being cloned, for example, if I cloned another me out, how would I treat the other me, the twin brother? Don't know, I don't know, don't ask me this question. Moreover, after another person who is exactly the same is cloned out, do we have the rights that every citizen has? Or, like goods, you spend money to buy his/her kidney today (in fact, strictly speaking, he /Her kidney is actually your kidney), buy his/her liver tomorrow (in fact, strictly speaking, his/her liver is actually your liver)?

However, things are paradoxical, and everything has two sides. Although I am opposed to human cloning, I cannot deny it-if human cloning is legalized, there will definitely be a new breakthrough in medicine. , And more violent than any medical breakthrough in history. Organ transplantation will be safer (but the cost should be high), and dangerous medical experiments will be done on human clones (although very unethical).

This article is really easy to write, and the heroine is very good-looking. I saw her in _He is not that into you_ and _Iron Man 2_. I can't wait to watch her another movie. However, it is better to find the debate materials first.

囧, I don't want that topic of mine.

The Island quotes

  • Client Services Operator: Merrick Biotech. How may I help you?

Tom Lincoln: Hi, this is a client, Tom Lincoln.

Client Services Operator: Hi, Mr. Lincoln.

Tom Lincoln: Yeah, I was wondering if you could get someone who can explain to me why my insurance policy is sitting downstairs on my fucking sofa!

  • Albert Laurent: Did you know my father was part of the Burkinabé rebellion? When he was killed, my brothers and I were branded, so everyone would know we were less than human.

[he holds up his hand to show Merrick]

Albert Laurent: I've seen and done things I'm not proud of, but at some point you realize, war... Is a business. So, when did killing become a business for you?

Merrick: Oh, no. It's so much more than that. I have discovered the Holy Grail of science. I give life. The agnates, they're simply tools, instruments. They have no souls. The possibilities are endless here. In two years' time, I will be able to cure children's leukemia. How many people on Earth can say that, Mr. Laurent?

Albert Laurent: [smiles] I guess just you and God. That's the answer you're looking for, isn't it?
