more than just solving cases

In my opinion, this is not just a film that solves a crime, and what attracts us is not just the tense plot and the exquisite murder method.
Some people may say that the film lacks the inner description of the murderer, so it is greatly reduced; some people say that the film is far less profound than "Seven Deadly Sins".
However, it still shocked me and brought me a lot.
Maybe Rhyme is a bit overconfident, commanding and stubborn. But it is such a character, which does not contain too many emotions, which gives him the ability to think calmly. When seeing the victim at the crime scene, everyone is immersed in grief and shock, but he is the only one who remains awake, knows his responsibility, and has to gather evidence. This is what makes him different.
He tells Emilia that she will be a good cop and helps her overcome the shadows and become strong. He knows how to respect a person.
He is the master of himself, but also lives helplessly. When he tried to find clues, but couldn't control his body, leaving that tear of helplessness, everyone's heart was broken. No matter how smart his mind is, now he only has one finger, two shoulders and a brain. But he chooses his own destination, decides how he will die, and is not afraid of death.
What I saw was such a policeman, which cannot be described with one or two adjectives, but has infinite charm and deeply touched our hearts.

A policeman who wanted to euthanize, enlightened a policewoman who wanted to commit suicide, and was also actively saving the lives of the murderer. This makes me very touched

The Bone Collector quotes

  • Lincoln Rhyme: Two things. First, you did a hell of a job locating the evidence. There's no question the perp knows forensics.

    [pause]

Lincoln Rhyme: Now, as for the other thing... the... you know, the victim's hands, well, maybe, uh... maybe it was too much to handle, so we'll just forget it.

Amelia: Is that your version of an apology?

Lincoln Rhyme: An apology? Is that why you came over here?

Amelia: You really are a piece of work.

Lincoln Rhyme: Well, aren't we a pair?... I think you're terrific.

  • Lincoln Rhyme: Whatever happened to your father doesn't mean it's gonna happen to you. You're a great cop. You'd make a terrific detective. It's a gift. Don't throw it away.
