more than just solving cases

In my opinion, this is not just a film that solves a crime, and what attracts us is not just the tense plot and the exquisite murder method.
Some people may say that the film lacks the inner description of the murderer, so it is greatly reduced; some people say that the film is far less profound than "Seven Deadly Sins".
However, it still shocked me and brought me a lot.
Maybe Rhyme is a bit overconfident, commanding and stubborn. But it is such a character, which does not contain too many emotions, which gives him the ability to think calmly. When seeing the victim at the crime scene, everyone is immersed in grief and shock, but he is the only one who remains awake, knows his responsibility, and has to gather evidence. This is what makes him different.
He tells Emilia that she will be a good cop and helps her overcome the shadows and become strong. He knows how to respect a person.
He is the master of himself, but also lives helplessly. When he tried to find clues, but couldn't control his body, leaving that tear of helplessness, everyone's heart was broken. No matter how smart his mind is, now he only has one finger, two shoulders and a brain. But he chooses his own destination, decides how he will die, and is not afraid of death.
What I saw was such a policeman, which cannot be described with one or two adjectives, but has infinite charm and deeply touched our hearts.

Some of the director's use of mirrors is too direct. Compared with the novel, the plot has also changed. Can you still watch it?

It turns out that there are so many eerie, damp, and terrifying abandoned places beneath New York!

The Bone Collector quotes

  • Lincoln Rhyme: [operating PC with his voice to see the unsolved homicide photos] Zoom. Same mark. Right. Zoom. Zoom. Zoom... Same messages. It's him... The perp was trying to make contact even then.

Amelia: But Cheney never put it together.

  • Thelma: Just give it a few seconds to work. Come on, breathe with me. Breathe with me, Rhyme. Rhyme! Come on, now... Hang on, Rhyme. Hang on, man.

Amelia: Is he gonna make it?

Thelma: If he does, he won't be happy.

Amelia: What are you talking about?

Thelma: He's already finalized arrangements to self-terminate... He's got some doctor friend to help with his "final transition" as he calls it.

    Amelia: But suicide? I mean...

Thelma: It's the seizures. Any one of them could put him into a vegetative state. That's what he fears more than anything.
