This is my understanding

Just after watching this nightmare movie, my understanding is that D and C are actually the same person, the younger one is her inner self, and the older one is her outer self (or in Hollywood. Must be that image). The blue box is her destiny. She has always been afraid of her future and dare not face it. At the beginning, she came to Hollywood with beautiful longings and loved her external image. The relationship between the two is very harmonious. On the outside, she is relatively weak and timid, and on the inside, she constantly encourages herself to help herself. Until later, the situation changed. In the theater, she saw a certain truth, and she had to face her destiny and make a choice.
The deal with the killer in the cafe meant that she decided to go all out. The killer asked her: Are you sure this is what you want? She said: I think more than anything. The killer gave him a key, and she asked: What is it to open? The killer laughed...what will you get when you fight it out? —— You won’t know until you open it.
She watched painfully as she socialized with all kinds of people, her outer self gradually moved away from her inner self...Is Hollywood's dream really her own dream? The elder (aunt)'s unfulfilled wish, the wish of strangers in the environment...everyone thinks that is the so-called success. However, is the price she paid for the success that everyone regards as a good one is really worth it? Let the inner true self die in loneliness...
