"We are protecting our interests, Mike"

This sentence in the title is what impressed me the most about this film. This sentence is applicable in any period, in any era, and in any occasion. As in the last part, Mike confronts Rooney, "If you're gone, there's no one to protect your son", all for profit. However, in such a bleak era, the performance was more direct; in the following years, everything was more obscure and cruel.

The rest are a few fragmentary feelings:

1. Hanks' performance, I personally feel "that's it", maybe his acting skills have gone through the baptism of several previous movies, and this one feels a bit aesthetic tired.

2. Newman, an old bone, performed quite vividly. Personally, I thought that in this movie, Newman's performance was enough to top the audience.

3. Jude Law didn't appear until halfway through the shoot. Although the second half tried desperately to increase his role, this role always felt a little weird, and the transition between the killer and the reporter was rather vague.

4. Craig's "prodigal son" image, in fact, can drink more wine.

Although Hanks has a rare "bad guy" role, he still cannot escape the fundamental proposition that "the good guy among the bad guys is actually a good guy".

Mendes really likes to say the ending at the beginning. The opening scene of the car against the crowd is amazing.

I watched it with my classmates, it’s not my favorite type, but some of the scenes inside I still like it
