Believe it or not

It has to be a terrific movie.
Tell the story of your life as an immortal.
And many plots are interlocked,
especially the last paragraph is
really impeccable and memorable.

Of course, the greatness of this film is due to the greatness of the author of the novel.
From the process of human development, I express my thinking about the world, society and life.
And the ideological contradictions and the denial of things we are familiar with during the plot are so perfect.

1. The amazement of eternity
At the beginning, many Harvard professors were only surprised that he said he was immortal. He expressed doubts, and tried to deny what he said through his own analysis and hope through his own knowledge and usual thinking logic. But it has to be said that they, in the constant debate, found that his (John) answer did not have any loopholes. It was a kind of awe, awe for miracles, that they were born with.
In this paragraph, they mostly discuss the development of humans from ancient cave dwellers to Homo sapiens.
If the film is only to describe the process of this development. Although the beginning is very imaginative, it is inevitable that it will fall into the cliché in the end.
So their discussions gradually began to be associated with the development of this society.
2. Analysis of religion and deconstruction of
belief Mr. Oldman said that he got enlightenment about human nature from Buddha. So spread it in the West. And he is Jesus. This nearly collapsed the devout Christians present. Can it be imagined? A person who has always believed in his beliefs, his beliefs are instantly disintegrated. Before, I had been living a strong life because of my beliefs, without a kind of support from the heart. This is more evil and terrible than Satan's charms. So no Christian is willing to believe that he is the Christ.
And John did, very well deconstruct religion and belief for us. In Central Asia and the Mediterranean, myths circulated, and later generations summarized and developed these myths into teachings and classics. And the earliest great men were just to spread good thoughts to the world. And people's worship of great men or idols has gradually become deified. And stubbornly believe in these idols and great men.
But the original intentions of great people and idols have gradually been forgotten in the process of development. People may be more willing to believe that they can enforce even rigid and even cruel dogmas than to enforce the truth, goodness and beauty that idols promote. The development of religion has gradually deviated from the original intention of founding people, and has become a tool for some people with ulterior motives. They are doing shameful and even dirty deeds in the name of justice.
So the superstition of religion is foolish. But the people who get the revelation to change the world and make the world better are the people who can truly understand the teachings.
Faith is a magical power for people. Faith can inspire a person's inner potential powerful force. And this power actually comes from itself. But in the name of God. People with ulterior motives always use this belief to hurt others. And this kind of person is the real hypocrite.
Faith and repentance can make people more powerful. Perhaps this is why the Christians in the film would collapse so much after really denying this belief.
3. The last paragraph: In the last paragraph of his leaving the hurt to others
, he inadvertently said what happened in Harvard 60 years ago. I was heard by a psychologist, and when I learned that the person in front of me was my former adoptive father (or biological father), I was very sad. In the end, he got too excited and passed out.
So John also realized the pain that he had caused by leaving the people who loved him.
So finally let the girl who loves him get into his car.

There is no excess or delay in the whole film.
Absolutely a masterpiece of science fiction! ! !
