What left the deepest impression on me in this edition was the innocent laughter of the little prince. When he and the pilot discovered the water source in the desert, one big and one small ran and laughed, so hearty and cheerful, as pure as the clear spring water under his little feet, it really made my heart beat for it ! In the end, when the pilot flew the plane to look up at the vast starry sky, the laughter of the little prince, which came from the sky full of stars, was even more deeply imprinted on my heart.
Tears were always shed when the little prince said goodbye to the fox, and when the little prince died, the grief burst out completely. Not to mention acting and other things, just seeing such a cute little boy leave is enough to break the heart. This "cute" doesn't just refer to appearance. The moment when the little prince fell is very consistent with what is written in the book: not only is the visual similarity, but also makes people feel the grief that is connected with the author's heart.
This version is more emotional; some people may feel that the deletion of several experiences of the Little Prince affects the overall meaning, but after all, the content that a movie can express is limited, and the priority must be chosen. As for young actors, it is not easy to find a young boy who is both pure and lovely and deep and wise in reality. I would rather have more of the former and less of the latter.
I can say this is my favorite version of the movie so far. The only thing that bothered me might be the snake part.
