------ --John Keats (1795-1821). letter, Oct. 13, 1819, to his fiancée Fanny Brawne, full of
talent but unsatisfactory, romantic but secular shackles, early appearance but premature death. These seem to be labels affixed to many literati, John Keats being one of them.
Before watching the movie, my knowledge of Keats was limited to the succinct introduction in English literature books. In my mind Keats, Byron, Shelley seemed to be three hairs plucked by Monkey King - how similar. When I was reciting the eight humanities knowledge, I was still struggling with the question of which of the two poems, Ode to the Skylark and Ode to the Nightingale, was written by Keats.
"Bright Star" describes the short and romantic life of John Keats. Keats, who was born ordinary and talented, met his confidante Fanny, but unfortunately the two families had very different backgrounds, but nothing could hinder their sincerity. He was only 25 when he died.
The film's soundtrack and pictures are beautiful, and it really creates a poetic realm. When Keats and Fanny were together, the two of them often recited Keats's new poems. As a moviegoer, I didn't feel pretentious. Because in such a beautiful atmosphere created by the film, you will feel that reciting poetry is not arty, and the protagonist is precisely a poet.
It must be beautiful to fall in love with a poet, because every word he said is so poetic, gentle and moving.
Keats said, When you are in the room my thoughts never fly out of window: you always concentrate my whole senses.
Wang Xiaobo said, loving you is like loving life.
An unknown ancient poet, but in my opinion the most romantic poet said, "Death and life are bound together, and you talk to Zicheng; hold your hand, and you grow old together with your son."
But falling in love with a poet can also seem confusing, because you won't be able to tell which of his words is true and which is false.
Oh, Shakespeare may have a different point of view, he said,
you can doubt that the stars are flames,
that the sun moves,
that truth is a lie,
but never doubt that I love you.
