Thank you, my life is different because of you!

I am 16 years old, I am a big man, my skin is black, and I have no friends.

I go to school, but I don't have a grade in a subject. Maybe because I always can't understand, I just want to ask why.

I had a mother, but I don't have a home. I don't want to keep those painful memories.

That cold night, you picked me home, when I was shivering with cold.

That gorgeous house, you told me it was home, although it had nothing to do with me at the time.

You let me and you eat at a large dining table, and let me pray with my family for the first time, shaking hands with my family. I was so full that meal.

You are the first person to listen to me seriously, you never call me big Mike again.

...

Later, you really gave me a home and family.

Are you satisfied with my performance on the court? The first outbreak, the opponent, the number 66, finally I handed over and helped him up, have you seen it?

Victory is also because of you. You told me to protect my family!

I'm still working hard in my studies, right? That's because you didn't give up on me, you gave me the opportunity to go to college.

I love being able to go to university.

...

Thank you, my life is different because of you!

The Blind Side quotes

  • Miss Sue: You like Tennessee? That's a good school. Not at the academic level of Ole Miss but they have an outstanding science department. You know what they're famous for? They work with the FBI, to study the effects of soil on decomposing body parts. When they find a body, the police wanna know how long it's been dead. So the fine folks at Tennessee help them out. Oh, they have lots of body parts. Arms and legs and hands, from hospitals and medical schools. And do you know where they store 'em? Right underneath the football field. So while it's fine and dandy to have 100,000 fans cheering for you, the bodies you should be worried about are the ones right under the turf. Set to poke up through the ground and grab you... Well, it's your decision where you wanna play ball. Don't let me influence you.

  • Michael Oher: Mrs. Touhy?

Leigh Anne Touhy: I hear "Mrs. Touhy" I look over my shoulder for my mother-in-law. Call me Leigh Anne or Mama or almost anything else.
