I insisted on reading it at home, not because I was afraid, but because I insisted on not fast-forwarding.
The gimmick of the suspense movie: When I
started to look at the poster, I thought it was a suspense movie, but everyone who watched it would find that the only suspense point was whether the family died or not, and whether the stepfather was brought to justice. Of course, this can't be considered suspense, but it's not the instinctive curiosity of the director who doesn't know the ending. Any film has it.
In fact, the poster has little to do with the actual content of the film -- the tie that appears in the poster, I generally think that the tie represents some big capitalists or business oligarchs or industry elites -- not just men who can use ties to represent them. After watching the movie, I felt that this stepfather was just an office worker who liked to work as a carpenter (he often changed jobs to hide his identity, and he didn't know what he was doing before).
Probably the only intersection with the movie is the wedding ring, but it doesn't seem to have much effect on the whole.
Rendering of a crime film: At the
beginning of the film, the police ranted about his stepfather's killing methods and acting skills, making us mistakenly think that he was a criminal with a high IQ, which would make people scream like many precedents.
I have to say that the stepfather's method is really ordinary. Usually, there is no logic to hacking people to death and stunning them unexpectedly, and he made many loopholes in the process of killing. The only great thing may be that he has practiced light gong, walking silently and running very fast.
The most interesting thing is that none of the family is vigilant, only the inexplicable sensitivity of the eldest son and the amazing insight of neighbors and friends.
A single mother has fallen in love to the point where no one will listen, but after all, she is a divorced middle-aged woman with rich social experience, not a little girl of sixteen or seventeen.
Although the eldest son looks very alert, he is not like a normal person. At first, he looked at his stepfather with the look of "you are a murderer", and then every time he saw his stepfather appear, no matter what his stepfather did, he would act like a man. Thoughtful, in fact, the stepfather really didn't say anything. In real life, it is the type we hate the most - the king who pretends to be smart and sensitive.
Neighboring aunts and good friends, if they commit crimes, should be smarter than stepfathers, but they are not physically strong enough and they are killed lightly.
Horror props:
Basement, typical horror location - not much used.
Stepfather's full set of surgical knives - no use at all.
Chainsaw - must be powered on.
Science Fiction Logic:
There's a lot of that logic.
The murderer can be allowed to die easily, but the glass cannot be allowed to pierce the neck artery, fall from the upstairs, and can quickly escape from the scene. When the robot has a short circuit, he is more resistant than Wolverine, and belongs to the anti-monster blood type. .
The eldest son is also good, not a bully, but a healer. He fell down and fell to the corner of his mouth, bleeding and coma for a month. He had no cerebral palsy, no memory loss, and no mental retardation. On behalf of the audience, he asked the director about the status of his stepfather, and then retired.
With her excellent judgment, the cat-raising aunt saw that the portrait of the public face and her stepfather were the same person. She did not report the case, but went to tell her fiancee, it was a bit abnormal. Then I was stared at by my stepfather for a day, but still didn't report the case and didn't want to do anything, waiting to be silenced. The answer told us that it's really not good to be with cats all the time.
There is nothing to talk about about good friends, the plot needs it.
The police are still the slowest and most unhelpful, but they have reached their peak in this film. It is obvious that repeat offenders do not investigate, boasting of repeat offenders' ability to excuse themselves, and the more basic investigation of the neighborhood and community near relatives and friends.
But hopefully I can catch him this time, because at the end of the film, the stepfather didn't make it easy when he hooked up with a single mother.
The phone must ring, vibrate and mute. The stepfather is very character.
Of course, the film also tells us a truth about being a human being—single mothers, no matter how much you lack love, when you are old, flash marriage is still unsafe.
