There is a kind of holiness called forgiveness

I am not a Christian, and I have no religious belief, and I have no special research on various religions. (Even if this movie shocked me, I have no desire to convert to religion now.) I just studied the Bible for a period of time because of my interest, including Four Gospels, but of course only half-understood. I have seen some movies about Jesus and suffering before, but none of them impressed me so much. I couldn’t extricate myself for a long time, and I reminisced over and over again, because this movie made from the story of the Gospels tells not only It is a religious story, and to a greater extent, a revelation of human nature.

The ultimate film is about the violence suffered by Jesus' martyrdom, and for those friends who have a poor tolerance for visual violence, I still do not recommend this film. For most violent and bloody scenes, it will not leave a deep shadow. Although the impact of this film will not leave a bad impact on me, the first time I feel is a kind of pain that really touches the soul. Every whip and every blow that Su Su received was a solid greeting in my heart. Because the most painful thing in the world is not to kill and be killed, but to be a wise man and a prophet. A wise man is always alone and lonely. He understands the anguish and stupidity of the common people, but he cannot escape from it; a prophet anticipates the horrors of the future, but he can only be depressed in his heart and cannot wake up the ignorant beings.

Instigated by unmerciful priests, instigated by bloodthirsty elders, indecisive Roman governors' hesitations, in the impulses of ignorant people, Jesus endured unimaginable gigantic spiritual and physical He was tortured by the horrificly brutal Roman soldiers, who carried out the biggest scandal since the birth of human beings—the torture for the purpose of torturing the same kind of bodies. During this process, my vision and thinking went through the blood and violence, and while feeling the pain, I also forgot the pain. What I realized was a kind of sincere holiness. The name of this holiness is forgiveness.

Unlike other mediocre religious films, Jesus in this film does not give people a face-to-face impression. He is no longer a pure leader, a saint, or a god, but a real person. A prophet, but in the face of the coming torture and martyrdom, he will also have fear and anxiety, and he will ask the Father to give him the courage to face it all, but when criticism, condemnation, tyranny and killing come, He never fled, he never flinched, he didn't have no chance to escape, but he faced everything he had with determination, even though he was tortured and faced death, he still prayed to the Father: "Father, forgive these ignorant people. , they don't know what they're doing." The voice was weak but powerful. In a flashback of his growth and preaching to his disciples inserted between the crucifixion of Jesus in the film, he calmly says, "Love your enemies, because if you love only those who love you, what will be the reward?" While he bears the heavy cross, he also bears all the sins in the world that he hopes to resolve. He is willing to wash away all their grievances on behalf of those who insist on executing him, even in the face of death, even in the face of suffering, his The eyes are still so pure and firm, without a trace of hatred, but full of compassion. And one detail, before Jesus died, shouted to the sky: "My God, my God, why did you abandon me." The light of human nature was highlighted in an instant. At this moment, Jesus became a person with divinity. rather than a human God.

Tyranny, intolerance and hatred are known to be destructive, but I believe that love, tolerance and forgiveness are the greatest forces in this world, a holy and inviolable force.
