Generally, when a movie is a big seller, the studio will consider making a sequel. Generally speaking, most of the sequels are not well-received, and most of them are sequels. For example, this "Death Comes 2" has an IMDB score of 6.4, while its predecessor "Death Comes 1" has an IMDB score of 6.8. But I am a layman, and layman will not care about IMDB full of petty bourgeoisie. For example, I think Reaper 2 is better than its predecessor.
As for where it looks good, I can't say. Maybe it's because the suspense is stronger than the first episode, maybe because the series of car accidents on the highway at the beginning is too thrilling, maybe because the motorcycle girl's figure is too punctual... Whatever, don't care!
