the road of freedom

After watching "Once Upon a Time in Mexico", I thought it was very exciting at first, but I found it a little annoying at the end.
I originally watched it for Depp, but he is a supporting role in it, but he is very handsome and cool.
The first time I knew Xiaopu was because of pirates, I didn't like it very much, I just thought it was evil.
Later, he gradually became more and more attractive, and those expressions were really charming.

The first half of the movie was pretty good, just for Antonio Banderas to be cool.
He has long hair, plays the guitar, has a very artistic temperament, and has a gloomy expression that I would have liked very much in the past.
But now I prefer Xiao Pu, who is a bit arrogant and rebellious, and likes bad men when he gets older.

The scene of the gunfight was exciting, but gradually it became too bloody, and it lost its beauty.
If I were the director, I would make every picture beautiful and present a visual feast like Zhang Yimou.
It's disgusting to have corpses all over the place, especially making Xiaopu blind, it's really too much.
Banderas should have suddenly fallen from the sky at a critical moment, saved him, and then joined forces to fight.
Although it is cliché, people like to watch it, and besides, shootout movies are clichés.
It just depends on how good you are.

Depp's appearance after being blind is very ridiculous, and the blood flowed to his face and stopped abruptly.
Just like the tears in Japanese cartoons, after falling down the cheeks, they disappeared suddenly.
Heroes in film and television dramas generally miss bullets, and they won't get infected after they hit them, so naturally they'll be fine.
If he dies, the plot ends.

The more I look at it, the more empty I feel, it is just a mad killing, and there are countless dead people.
If it weren't for the support of the two handsome guys, it would really be a bad movie.
The ending is like a Chinese martial arts film, where the hero quits the arena and roams the world.
Some people's road to freedom is paved with the corpses of others, whether they deserve it or not.

- What do you want in your life?
--free.
--Simple.
--No.

This is a conversation the wandering singer once had with his wife. It was a pity that she was no longer with him when he was freed.
Although his yearning is very simple, but perhaps because the realm is too indifferent, it is difficult to achieve.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico quotes

  • Belini: This story is well-traveled. It might have picked up some embellishments along the way. Just read between the lines.

  • [El Mariachi takes a piece of pork from Sands' plate and chews it]

    Sands: Was I right?

[El Mariachi spits out the piece of pork in disgust]

    Sands: Hmmm. Guess not.
