Tribute to Hitchcock

The film is not too long. Looking at it from beginning to end, the tone, shots, and plot create an illusion. I am watching a Hitchcock movie, very much like "The Thirty-nine Steps".
This year coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Celestial Dynasty, and many films and TV series about the 1940s and 1950s have appeared on domestic and large screens. With the same time background, why can't we photograph the age texture like the old beauty? Is it because the level of cosmetic props is not supported, or is the equipment and technology backward?

All parties are fighting for survival. Like many so-called memoirs, they are often unsatisfactory. It's very suitable for watching a movie in a half-dream and half-awake state.

Black and white light and shadow silhouettes, coupled with the set and real footage, are very Bogart movies.

The Good German quotes

  • Bernie Teitel: This guy? Drove one of the gas vans. They'd load the Jews in back, run the exhaust inside.

Bernie Teitel: [inhales] By the time they got where they were going, they were already dead. Very efficient. Driving to work, he killed more people than Al Capone in all his years in Chicago. But if you asked him, he isn't a murderer, he's a truck driver. And he still thinks that.

  • Hannelore: It's easy now to say Hitler was wrong about the Jews. Let me tell you something. Nobody said he was wrong at the time.
