This is definitely another sci-fi masterpiece after "District Nine".
Before watching the trailer, I found the style and setting to be very attractive, but when I finally saw it, I felt a sense of awe-inspiring.
The plot is not spoiled, anyway, when I saw an important plot in 30 minutes, I basically guessed the ending.
But the whole movie is still enjoyable.
This apparently low-cost science fiction movie is actually an extension of "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Blade Runner".
At the same time, there is an elegant temperament spreading throughout the movie, which is the most valuable feature of this movie.
Sam Rockwell's performance was exceptional.
Science fiction movies are the genre that best reflects the weight of creativity in the story, because the entire genre is based on fantasy, which is looking forward to an uncertain future.
After "Transformers" was released in China in 2007, I once wrote a text, thinking that science fiction films must find a new way in China, and it is useless to fight for production.
Even if "Moon" is a sci-fi movie with creativity and story, it will be difficult for domestic filmmakers to match for a long time in the future.
But at least, I stick to my previous judgment, which is to rely on creativity to win, there is no other way.
The only hope is that China's science fiction literature takes great strides, and the development of science fiction movies needs the support of a strong literary development.
This is not an opinion, but it has always been the case.
I hope that China can unearth 100 big Lius, come on, I pray.
If "The Moon" must be thorny, it is a major logical omission in the film, such as the change in the number of lunar rover.
Spoilers are involved, not much to talk about.
And because the ending can be guessed, it is obviously attributed to the interpretation of mainstream values, which is still not up to the height of film history classics.
But its overall tribute to "2001" and "Blade Runner" is beyond words, the overall production of the film is well-made, and it is definitely worth recommending.
Give a "have to watch".
