Not many people can remember the lesson of blood

American movies about wars are basically anti-war. It is impossible to sing the war, nor would they sing the warriors. This bomb disposal unit is no exception. Another feature of American war movies is that they are true, not exaggerated or exaggerated, and you don't see any impassioned rhetoric such as "For a new America, advance" or "Fire at me for victory." However, this kind of coldness is the true face of war, and war is so disgusting and confusing. This film is about the bomb disposal unit. After the war in Iraq, the bomb disposal unit may be the most dangerous service. The film expresses the cruelty of war and the fragility of life through the experience of several bomb disposal crews. Of course, there is also the deep-rooted hatred of a small group of Iraqis. When democracy and freedom collide with nationalism, most people may choose the nation. Doctrine, especially when this democratic freedom is imposed on you, and these people are still heretics. This kind of thing will never be clear, and there will not be many people who can remember the lesson of blood. A few years ago, I watched a movie "Bowl Head" that reflected the Iraq war. It felt very classic, but no one seemed to agree with me. This time I watched "The Hurt Locker" I also think it is very classic, especially its plot is more attractive, I think more people will agree with me this time.

The Hurt Locker quotes

  • Sergeant JT Sanborn: I'm not ready to die, James.

Staff Sergeant William James: Well, you're not gonna die out here, bro.

Sergeant JT Sanborn: Another two inches, shrapnel zings by, slices my throat, I bleed out like a pig in the sand. Nobody'll give a shit. I mean my parents - they care - but they don't count, man. Who else? I don't even have a son.

Staff Sergeant William James: Well, you're gonna have plenty of time for that, amigo.

    Sergeant JT Sanborn: Naw, man.

Staff Sergeant William James: You know?

Sergeant JT Sanborn: I'm done. I want a son. I want a little boy, Will. I mean, how do you do it, you know? Take the risk?

Staff Sergeant William James: I-I don't know. I mean, I just, uh... I guess I don't think about it.

Sergeant JT Sanborn: Every time we go out, it's life or death. You roll the dice. You recognize that, don't you?

Staff Sergeant William James: Yeah-yeah... Yeah, I do, but I don't know why, you know? Yeah...

Staff Sergeant William James: [sighs] I don't know, JT. You know why, you know... I'm the way I am?

Sergeant JT Sanborn: No, I don't.

  • Colonel John Cambridge: [waving] So long. Thank you.
