I can't rewrite the perfect work

Not historical facts, out of fiction. But the story is well told.
It should be a story about jealousy. Talent (God's spokesperson) not only exposes the ugly face of mediocrity through contrast, but is also the enemy of mediocrity. Conversely, mediocrity is also the enemy of talent.
Or not as simple as jealousy, Salieri is desperate. Because mediocre people cannot make progress through learning and humility, geniuses get the ultimate talent directly from God, and mediocre people, besides despair, I can't think of any better way.
"The Wedding of Figaro", Mozart's best opera. The mediocre people asked him to rewrite it for mediocre reasons, as Mozart said: "I can't rewrite a perfect work." This sentence is very good, only a genius can speak like this.

Amadeus quotes

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: I actually threw the score on the fire, he made me so angry.

Antonio Salieri: You burned the score?

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: No, no. My wife took it out in time.

  • Antonio Salieri: Are you sure you can't leave these and, and come back again?

Constanze Mozart: It's very tempting sir, but it's impossible, I'm afraid. Wolfgang would be frantic if he found those were missing, you see they're all originals.

    Antonio Salieri: Originals?

Constanze Mozart: Yes, sir, he doesn't make copies.

    Antonio Salieri: These, are originals?
