Those who refuse to repent will die

The so-called unforgivable in the film is aimed at those who refuse to confess. Except for the first person who died, the little cowboy is actually not bad, and has repented. I think that should not be killed, so the old cowboy must come. Atonement, in fact, the old cowboy died because he refused to confess and was still thinking about killing, but in the end his heart was touched and he wanted to redeem his sins, but it was too late. He has to pay the price for killing the person who shouldn't be killed. In the end, William did not die because he had already repented very early. That little cowboy killer did not die because he killed a person who refused to repent.

Little Bill Daggett: Yeah, that's why there's so few dangerous men around like old Bob, like me. It ain't so easy to shoot a man anyhow, especially if the son-of-a-bitch is shootin' back at you. I mean, that'll just flat rattle some folks.
