Actually it could be better

When I first read the book, I was really looking forward to this movie. There are several reasons:
1. The tense atmosphere. All things are resolved within a day, and the best part is within a few hours, such a plot is prepared for a movie;
2. Unexpected story. The shaping of the triggering scene and the devious storyline are also the favorite factors of the movie;
3. The grand and novel scene. Whether it's the plane at the European Nuclear Center, the research center located underground, or the underground tomb of the church, it's all descriptions that make me look forward to seeing the real scene;
4. Finally, I really love this A story of religious and scientific conflict. I'm not on either side, but always feel looking forward to this debate.
It is a pity that although I entered the Vatican, I used other people's churches, and maybe even the Vatican Library was filmed on site, but the film was still too law-abiding.
From the beginning, she abandoned the relationship between Victoria and her father, and let her come to the Vatican just for work needs. In fact, I think her father is the one who can truly embody the desire to achieve a balance between religion and science, embodying the spirit of Galileo and the others. Even in the book there is no such living person, but the cancellation of him in the movie directly obliterates the meaning of the search for the relationship between the two forces in half of the book.
Later, everyone can see that Ivan survived with a parachute, which is actually quite logical. After all, modern society really wants everyone to believe that something too mysterious happens to them, and it is still a bit unacceptable. but! The biggest mystery is actually revealed in such a dull and suspenseful way. It really makes people feel like they were looking forward to it for a long time, but it turned out to be different.
Is there a really convincing reason for the last pope to succeed? In contrast to the book, the old cardinal is really a wise man.
In short, too mediocre.
Remove the biggest point of view and the biggest contradiction: the firefight between science and religion, then all the plots are just a lively show.
