Although Angels & Demons is also an entertainment novel, it was just because I read it that it inspired my strong interest in Catholicism.
Although I was quite disappointed with the middle-aged uncle of Tom Hanks before, I paid attention to the wonderful plot, and the trailer still looked a little like it, so I still have high expectations for the whole film.
Who knows, a suspense film with a tight plot has been changed into an action film with a dead end. First of all, there is no suspense in the way the killer is. According to the original book, there is nothing wrong with choosing a wild-style muscular man from the Middle East. Is it because he is afraid of causing racial disputes or something, he chose a Nerd-style scholar with glasses. Although it is said that the killer of Yue Niu 13 is darker and more hidden, but this buddy is happy how he sees it in the movie. And the fight with Langdon wasn't even worth it. It's so bad to die, it's really the No. 1 god of decline in this movie.
Secondly, do you have persecutory delusions or a paediatric mental retardation in the Pope's Chamberlain? No matter how much you change, screenwriter, you must give people a reason to do evil. I think the reason in the original book is quite reasonable and loving. After the Pope's servant learned that he was the real son of the Pope, he mistakenly thought that his father violated the canon and that the nun had a white frame and a white frame, and then killed his father with blood. It turned out that he was actually born because of the great scientific purity of artificial insemination. The movie, however, only vaguely explained that a waiter worried that religion could not complement science and would be replaced by it. This is really, paranoid enough. Characters can be perverted, but don't wait for such a deformed ah!
After that, several supporting roles were also unclear. For example, the scientist who believes in God in Victoria and the director of the European Nuclear Center, these two characters do not explain clearly, and they cannot handle the relationship between science and religion that has been discussed in the book.
Not to mention the protagonist. Victoria is just a vase girl, and it doesn't work at all. Longdon, on the other hand, is always chasing the next mission just like playing games through customs. Anyway, there is no such tacit understanding between male pigs and female pigs.
Anyway, the plot really sucks. But it's still worth watching, at least the scenes inside are quite delicate, and the soundtrack by Hans Zimmer is also remarkable.
