The most precious thing in life is stillness

I saw the original book of this movie many years ago, and was impressed by the description of eating cockroaches. This movie is a children's fantasy work, and the reasoning is also easy to understand. The most common sights in life are nothing more than various behaviors of desire, but many times we also feel that there is never a time when we don't want, we always Living in the middle of wanting this or wanting that, ignoring the precious things around you that you already have. This movie was still a success. I thought it would be a live-action version, but I didn’t expect it to be an animated version, but no matter what version it was, the text world of the original book was still displayed in front of me in three dimensions. I’m very happy to see this movie.

Coraline quotes

  • Other Father: [robotic] All will be swell, soon as Mother's refreshed. Her strength is our strength...

[one of the robotic hands closes his mouth forcefully]

Other Father: Mustn't... talk when Mother's not here.

Coraline Jones: If you won't even talk to me, I'm gonna find the other Wybie. He'll help me.

    Other Father: No point.

    [face distorts]

Other Father: He pulled a loooong face... and Mother didn't like it.

  • Coraline Jones: [on the "Other" Mother] Why does she want me?

Cat: She wants something to love, I think. Something that isn't her. Or, maybe she'd just love something to eat.

Coraline Jones: Eat? That's ridiculous, mothers don't eat... daughters.

Cat: I don't know. How do you taste?

    [chuckles]
