In the future, it shouldn't be so cruel

MCG, you disappoint me.

After watching 2018, I feel that I can use one word to describe it: cruel. The Terminator series finally ushered in his fourth, dark, depressing, and heavy fourth. Overall, this 2018 disappointed me. Not pretty. It's not that the scene is not big enough and the effect is not realistic enough. In general, it is a good description of the future war. The grand scenes and the excellent special effects production, coupled with the performance of the actors but not lost, may be regarded as the only highlights of this summer opening blockbuster. Of course, you can ignore this comment if you are satisfied after reading it. The following is just a little bit of my personal opinion. The tone of

film is set too dark. As a film describing human beings after the end of the world, its darkness is one of the best in history. In recent "I Am Legend", the protagonist has at least the entire city facilities for his life; "World War", the last-minute bacteria turned the tide to help humans defeat aliens. As far away as "The Matrix", although most humans live in the virtual world, at least there they can live a normal life, and the protagonists who wake up early have firm beliefs and hopes to eliminate demons and monsters in the virtual world. , Almost omnipotent; "The Day After Tomorrow", the number of humans is halved, but the quality of life may not have a big impact, and the film does not focus on description. It seems that the only ones that can be compared with 2018 are "Blast 28 Weeks" and "Clover Archives".

In 2018, human beings were poorly dressed-the Nepalese coat was only owned by the resistance organization and needed to earn their lives; lived poorly-lived in a desolate and devastated land; poorly eaten-the only thing that appeared in the entire film Food is an inch-long carrot, and it is continuously, completely, and resolutely terminated by the robot. As long as your body surface temperature is higher than your surroundings, you will be discovered by the robot and then killed, for no reason, no exceptions. For this reason, humans have also followed the same pattern to deal with robots. Humans and robots fight to death and life, and when they meet, they destroy each other and end each other. The only person in the film who said, "We don't mess with them and they won't come to us" was killed within a minute after saying this. It's really a cold joke. Moreover, in this war, mankind has lost not only life, but also humanity. What we have seen are falling into the pit and killing each other. No one will help you, you can only protect yourself. There is a lack of trust, care and love between people.

Both protagonists in the film are destroying robots, but I think they are also very similar to robots. Because they all lack humanity that can't be ignored. We can't see enough humanity in the two protagonists. Marcus wrote a little bit more, but the purpose is to make the final burden shake enough. Marcus was originally a human being, and his humanity was revealed naturally. Compared with the longing for humanity and respect for life that Arnold burst from the original mechanical heart in the second part, the shock and infectious power are not a little bit worse. . In the middle scene, the identity of the Marcus robot was exposed and was madly pursued by the human resistance organization. On the one hand, it let me know that Marcus is still human, on the other hand, it made me wonder how much humanity is left in the war! Connor did not kill Marcus not because he believed that the female pilot said "He is a human!", but because he found that he could and was willing to help him rescue his father. Connor is working hard to save his father throughout the film. The logic of his behavior is actually: saving his father means saving himself and saving all mankind. This sense of mission to save the world can't stand scrutiny, even somewhat ridiculous.

Four

From the first robot that looks like a human, to the second robot that transforms into a human, to the third robot that can be a woman (feminist popcorn movie), to this fourth human to transform into a robot. The more you shoot the Terminator series, the bigger your appetite, and the more you shoot, the more you want to shoot deeply. But it actually backfired. When it comes to the bt thing of turning people into machines, bt Japanese people are actually more comfortable. Let’s compare the animation "Ghost in the Shell" made by the Japanese 14 years ago. The same is when the human brain is connected to the machine brain and even the Internet (Skynet). The story of the shell is far better than 2018. It is delicate, humanized, and socially aware. It always runs through the philosophical speculation on the identity of thinking and existence and the ultimate concern for life. . And the perplexed emotions throughout the film are also real and natural, which is quite moving. Compared with them, the plot of 2018 is like the product of brainstorming after a brainstorming meeting. It is rough, shallow, and rather blunt. Finally, Marcus found that his brain could be connected to Skynet, and found that his consciousness was his own but his body was given by Skynet. He just hid his head in pain and shouted a few times, and Skynet lightly wrote beside him, recognize your identity, you are actually a robot. It's so speechless. He may not be a human, but he must not be a robot. As the shell said, the fusion of human brain and machinery will produce new life forms. He and human beings and self-aware robots are both living entities, and they exist on an equal and independent basis. In 2018, even if Marcus is a robot, this ambiguous worldview has become the biggest failure of 2018 and it is also the most uncomfortable place. In the end, even Marcus himself could not accept his state and decided to leave his heart to the human leader. This kind of self-salvation actually reflects the director's idea. If you are not a pure human, you should sacrifice your life, so that everyone will not find it difficult! This narrow attitude even makes me smell racism and chauvinism... The core project of the 2018 story is so high, and the space that can be used is amazing. But in the end, the director couldn't control and put all his energy on the scene description. MCG wanted to develop a brand new Terminator series, but in the end it only made a qualified summer blockbuster, which is a pity.

five

As Connor said in the movie, they will attack you with what you have the most advantage. As Skynet said at the end, we give you hope and then take them away. The whole movie of 2018 can be said to give no hope. . The only hope in the first half was a signal attack, but it was a trap of Skynet and destroyed the headquarters of the Human Resistance Organization. The only hope in the second half is Marcus, who has not yet destroyed his humanity, but it is the undercover that Skynet arranges to penetrate into human beings, in order to find the two people Skynet considers the most dangerous, Connor and his future father. The only hope at the end is that Marcus is not dead, and the coexistence of man and machine is possible. But in the end he seemed to sacrifice himself for Connor. At the end of the film, only the human leader who has just survived leads the human race to continue the desperate struggle with Skynet. Finally, human beings live? The robot is dead? No one knows, everything is entangled.

In the future, it shouldn't be so cruel, I just want to watch the fascinating "Star Trek" again.
