is not without reason that the film made a splash at the just-concluded Cannes - the subject matter is heavy and sensitive, The story is flattering and touching. Of course, what resonates most with Quebecers is the Quegua French used in the film and scenes such as city street scenes and South Bank buses. I believe that the applause the director received tonight is better than Cannes, so he was moved to say - for me, tonight is the most important!
Personally, what I appreciate the most is the mother-son rivalry in the film - every scene is wonderful.
