I followed this film for a year and a half, but I couldn't find a pirated version. Later, I finally found this film at the bookstore I used to go to in Ximen, Tsinghua University. Compared with trainspotting, there are fewer skinheads, gangsters, Scottish ruffian accents, conflicts between England and Scotland, etc., which are easy to be labeled as British. This film is a pure film. Maybe too pure didn't win any big prizes and didn't do much publicity. Still my old opinion, as long as you put the perspective on children, the chances of a movie being successful are half as high. Bicycle thieves, Cinema in Paradise, Sicilian legends, breasts and moon, sixth sense and domestic fragrance are all good proofs.
Suddenly picking up a million pounds, but I can't tell my parents, I can only spend it myself. It turns out that the children who bully you every day are bought by you to become a bodyguard thug. What a pleasant thing. But your accomplice brother does burn incense and recite Buddhahood every day, and he doesn't care about the extraneous things at all. At the same time, the United Kingdom was incorporated into the euro zone, and the pound would be void if it was not exchanged for euros, and neither of the two brothers had a bank account. In this situation, how to choose has made the film climax again and again, and the dramatic conflicts are constant. As a drama All can be excellent. Danny seems to like the theme of Million, but then the slumdog million baby is not so pure, so he won the award. Maybe a film like Hitchcock won't get the Oscars after all.
I discussed it with my British friends, and it is recognized that this film is seriously underestimated. I recommend that students who have not seen it should watch it, at least compare it after watching the award-winning film. Another similar movie, This Is England, which came out around 2006, claims to be the best British movie since Trainspotting. Watch Train Guessing.
