don't deceive

I've been watching Jin Ye's films recently, from "The Mist" to "The Shining", "Ghost Show" trilogy, and now "Carrie the Witch". Of course, I watched the 1976 version. The 2002 version of eDonkey is still being dragged, probably because it is too niche and lacks resources. After reading these, I found that Stephen King's works do have a characteristic, that is, the perfect combination of the darkness of the realistic meaning and the horror of the supernatural meaning. Of course, Jin Ye's other works are also absolutely classic, such as "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Miracle in the Green Mile".

I was going to write about the feeling of watching "The Shining" before, but the film was written by too many people, and it was too classic, and even the sense of picture was not outdated at all. I was shocked at the time, this is actually a work from 1983 . Let's focus on Carrie the Witch. When I watch movies, I like to wonder if the director has deep intentions for the arrangement of each plot. I admit that it is very tiring and does not meet the spirit of entertainment. I have also been criticized by friends. There is no need to think too much about every movie, some movies are just for entertainment.

The plot of "Magic" is very simple. The first three-quarters of the time is spent laying the groundwork for Carrie's revenge. . The main characters in the film have distinct personalities. The good ones are very good, and the evil ones are very evil. They have the momentum of "Han Zhu Ge Ge". The classmates are all evil, the teacher is a messenger of justice, the mother is a paranoid and twisted devout, and poor Carrie longs for an ordinary life full of adolescent fantasies.

Thinking of a very perverted experience in elementary school, I forgot the reason. In the second grade, I was not liked by the head teacher. The head teacher is a wretched old man in his 50s and 60s. He will charge a dime for water when his classmates go to his home for tutoring. He angrily returns half of the roast duck brought back from Beijing by his classmate's parents because he only gave half of it. ; In class, scolding the genitals of undeveloped classmates, because he was caught urinating in a corner of the school playground... I can't remember the specific punishment for me. All I know is that at that time I was punished for cleaning the toilet for a week, I had to stand in his class, and all my classmates were not allowed to talk to me... I still remember the kind of feeling that I had to endure and try to communicate with my classmates, but I was isolated. The fear of not being able to speak out after going home.

When everything you do is denied, you first doubt yourself, and wonder if you are really an outlier. At first you will try to communicate with others, you want to be like them and become "normal". However, after repeated failures, all that remains is fear and hatred. When you admit that you are wrong, that is, when you are most desperate, you will have very evil thoughts. I was hoping that the whole classroom would collapse and everyone would disappear because they couldn't forgive me and then disappear from my world. Of course, in the real world, I don't have superpowers, I can only YY. It is through this artistic effect that the film expresses Carrie's wishes, and the film takes the contradictions in reality to an extreme, because she also has a terrifying, crazy, perverted mother.

I am very fortunate that my mother helped me settle all this, and since then I have also entered the ranks of good students and the life of a normal person. My mother used violence to control violence, and Bai Dao-shang organized a bunch of parents' meetings to make trouble at the main school; underworld officials said that she handcuffed her daughter to the men's bathroom, and told her to call out the sky and not the ground. Since then, he has been obedient, but it is also very miserable. The evening festival is not guaranteed, and the head teacher has been dismissed. I became his failure in his later years.

Going back to the film, after watching it, it won't be as shocking as "The Shining", whether it is human nature or horror, but as an admirer of Jin Ye, it is still worth watching.

9 points, this is the reason for revenge social behaviors such as driving into people, killing children, etc. The influence of family and society, coupled with misunderstandings, leads to killing and destruction.

Carrie quotes

  • Miss Collins: [to the girls] Now, my idea for this little trick you pulled was three days' suspension and refusal of your prom tickets.

    [the girls gasp]

    Norma: [in disbelief] What? God!

Miss Collins: That'd get you where you live, wouldn't it? And you deserve it. I don't think any of you have any idea of just how nasty what you did really was. But the office has decided you're to have one week's detention.

    [the girls sigh with relief]

Miss Collins: Still, there's one little catch. It's to be my detention.

[the girls are once again perturbed]

Miss Collins: That's fifty minutes every day starting today in the athletic field. Get the picture?

    Chris Hargenson: I'm not coming.

Miss Collins: That's up to you, Chris. That's up to all of you. Punishment for skipping detention is three days' suspension and refusal of your prom tickets. Any other thoughts? Good. Now change up.

    [the girls proceed begrudgingly]

Chris Hargenson: Where are you going?

    Norma: Come on.

    Chris Hargenson: I'm not coming.

Norma: You're really not gonna come? You're gonna miss out on the prom?

    Chris Hargenson: I'm not coming.

Norma: Well, I'm not gonna miss the prom.

    Chris Hargenson: Fuck.

  • Margaret White: I'm here on the Lord's work, Mrs. Snell; spreadin' the gospel of God's salvation through Christ's blood!

    Mrs. Snell: Yes, of course...

Margaret White: These are godless times, Mrs. Snell.

Mrs. Snell: I'll drink to that. Mrs. White, I'd like to contribute five... ten dollars.

Margaret White: [offended] I see. I pray you find, Jesus.
