Look at this family...

The story of "family" has always been my favorite...Marriage, blood ties bring different people's different lives... together into a common time and space. This family is no exception. ..In Hey Jude's slow singing, we saw the prequel of this family... Then the good drama began... Genius or mediocrity... Seventeen years later, a short week of family reunion ...everyone starts to get back on the road after re-acquainting themselves with each other...weddings, funerals...all the major events in life that we all deal with in our lives...continue to be staged in this place called "home"... Our life started there, and no matter how far we go after that, the source and answer of all are still there... Loyalty or betrayal, forgiveness and understanding are the only way to solve the problem after all... What a lovely movie...the soundtrack is so lovely...Life must go on...

Another fine fine movie of depressed family members get together by Wes Anderson. bizzare but warm, fantastic script and music! The beginning is a bit long, and the ending is a bit rushed. The epitaph is lovely, Royal Tenebaum died tragically rescuing his family from the wreckage of a destroyed sinking battleship.

86/100, completely reduced to a fan of Wes, the picture photography is really good, the music is also quite tasteful, the story is a bit lengthy, but it is very interesting. The role really floats on the surface. But just relying on this strong stylization, combined with the usual faint sadness of the pink coat, how can I not like it.

The Royal Tenenbaums quotes

  • Eli: [reading part of his newest novel at a press conference] The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sage thicket. "Vámonos, amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintcraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.

  • Eli: I'm not in love with you any more.

Margot: I didn't know you ever were.

Eli: Let's not make this any more difficult than it already is.

    Margot: OK.

    Eli: OK, what?

Margot: OK, I'm not in love with you either.

Eli: Yes, I know, you're in love with Richie. Which is sick and gross.
