In 2084, moving to Mars becomes the new fashion trend

Actually, I was just trying to find some "computer/hack movies"... It has somehow become a habit that I search for themes for movie watching. Unfortunately, this one seems not to be the case. It's more of a sci- fi than a computer science genre.

This one, however, leading by Schwarzenegger and Ms. Stone, is the one that appears on the Amazon "Great Computer Movies" following The Matrix and Enemy of State.

Based on the Philip K. Dick story " We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". The film was directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Ronald Shusett, Dan O'Bannon, Jon Povill, and Gary Goldman. It won an Academy Special Achievement Award for its visual effects.

The film was made before Sharon Stone's scoring her successful "Basic Instinct".

The story is set in the year 2084. Douglas Quaid is a construction worker who has been experiencing dreams about exploring the planet Mars with a brunette. Then, he hit on a solo ideal vacation which called "ego trip" developed by Rekall, the trip designing company and found out a secret of his own past...

Total Recall, a pun that refers to Douglas Quaid's own secret past that's been "recalled" by the trip designing company; and also, to the company's name is coincidentally called "Rekall (Recall)".

I guess, this is not that much of a dull movie to watch if you gotta some idle hours to kill.

2.5. Still interesting! Self-identification, double-espionage, future utopia, reality/dreams, scenes that now seem to have a heavy sense of shame, add ambiguity. Although Arnold played poorly, the script's choice of the protagonist was not well laid out, and the breakthrough of the dilemma often relied on bad muscle power (sarcasm?), deliberately making it seem like a very tight round of gunfights until later a little tired.
