The story itself tries to tell too many things. But it's not too messy if they are mixed together.
Simply list what is
1) Is there a soul? The relationship between soul and body. The above assumes that there are similar things, of course, not the kind that is very serious, just for the convenience of his narration;
2) The function of the body. Made a very funny assumption that anyone can use another body. This is not bullshit, there is no such easy thing. It's good to use your own. Use someone else's? The level is still much worse;
3) What is love. This he said very well, with great angles and skills.
4) The relationship between chance , identity, environment and achievement. No special ideas. At most, add one sentence: "Everyone is a potential genius, it depends on how you play." Or it’s not as good as the “position” as the Chinese say (it’s just who is in that position).
5) Greed for survival.
6) What is life for? Is there a purpose? As the Matrix said, things that exist are ultimately "for" extinction. People who have tried it in the show are all hooked. Why? Think about it?
7) The desire for eternal life
8) What is reality? What are images or sensory feelings?
9) Maybe you can still see or think of what other
directors want to say, I'm not sure, but I can have my own ideas. I guess he made a design of his own ideas and expressed them in this way, just like the woman in the movie said, "I love you in my own way, and this child belongs to you." This movie is the director's strange child. He thought hard, but there was no answer. So what we see is only his periodic report, not his final answer. And I don’t think he can find any answer: he is too smart to find it.
Compared with "Video Murder", each has its own advantages, and I think the latter is more thoughtful.
Several puppet shows are very good.
